Shower and Restroom Facility at Julian Price Campground
Atriax Building Solutions provided Design-Build services for this new six-room shower and restroom facility. It was the first fully accessible building on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It also conforms with the NC State Historic Preservation (SHPO) Office Mission 66 Program for architecture, dating to the Eisenhower Era. The design blended accessibility with the look of other Parkway buildings. During the Construction Phase, the initial grubbing and site grading required removing 45 large trees. The resulting 400-cubic yards of topsoil was stockpiled for Park Service use.
