Gravesite Expansion and Cemetery Improvements
Services Provided: Civil Engineering to Prime John Gallup & Associates
Founded in 1863, Chattanooga is one of the original five cemeteries founded during the Civil War. It now serves as the final resting place for more than 50,0000 veterans representing that war and every subsequent conflict in American history. This gravesite expansion included the construction of more than 6,000 pre-placed crypts in three burial fields, a new Committal Service Shelter, cortege lane, walkways, site furnishings, landscaping, and irrigation systems. The expansion was developed within the existing grounds.
