Runway Reconstruction – Andersen AB, Guam
Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment
What We Did
Facing quality control issues with the Andersen Air Base runway reconstruction, the US Air Force (USAF) reached Atriax through prime contractor Portage Environmental to provide airfield pavements expertise. Atriax deployed within three weeks of notification and assessed quality, budget and schedule compliance. Coordination with base personnel was conducted to provide master schedule, cost, contracting and QA/QC support. The Atriax team developed a unique protocol for assessing each and every contract slab individually and documenting quality and contract compliance.
