Renovation Services for Inpatient Medicine/Surgery Units
Renovation Services for Inpatient Medicine/Surgery Units
Department of Veterans Affairs – Jack Montgomery VA Medical Center, Muskogee, OK
What We Did
This project was a complete renovation of an existing inpatient medical, surgical and hospice bed space. Following initial investigations and analysis of utility systems and building structural integrity, the 30,000 SF re-design greatly improved efficiencies within the units, created nurse station areas that include a streamlined work area with direct views to all patient bays, gave more personal space within each room and a much improved nursing area work flow. All patient rooms in the unit were converted to 20 private rooms and 2 semi-private rooms.

Engineering Services
“The A/E has a good team and has demonstrated a good grasp of the requirements and how to satisfy them. The A/E is very responsive and has done an exceptional job of addressing particular challenges such as the nurse call system issues, phasing requirements, and funding restraints.”
