What We Did

The goal of the project is to improve control of the hospital’s interior environment and to reduce the energy use. Our design includes individual automated controls for approximately 1,250 steam convectors and replacement of some steam piping. The new controls will be installed on existing steam convection radiators are currently part of large zoned areas and lack individual controls.

How We Did

The new controls are designed to meet the requirements of ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2010 and provide a fully automated connection to the Medical centers’ central building automation system so each thermostat can be controlled from a centralized computer.
